Thanks for the ideas. UNO is selling the game for $1 this week. We just bought an extra deck and introduced it to our kids (7 & 5) last night and it was a little tricky for the 5 yr old so I'll have to try some of your tips. Saw you on ABC, 123 Show & Tell. www.obSEUSSED.com
We just played this for the first time at Grandma's house and you're right, with a little help and adaptation younger ones can join in. We had a 4 year old playing and in fact she won 3 of the rounds.
Great ideas. We have recently discovered Crazy 8's which is similar to Uno but a bit simpler and have been playing with my preschooler. The toddler shares a hand with me and tries to see if I have a matching card - same colour or number as last card played - to put down
Great ideas! I think I have a game in a closet somewhere.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!! Thanks for sharing! Kerri

ReplyDeleteWe played it already with my daughter (5) the usual way but she didn't understand a bit :-) Those are great games and tnx for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas. I was also thinking that you could also play a concentration matching game using pairs of the same number and colour.
